I notice in the begining of the year my lower unit oil was milky. So I change the lower unit. I now winterized my boat and notice my lower unit oil is still milky. Can anyone tell me What is going on with it. Also My R.P.M s are at 5500 and that I'm going about 20 mph very slow could it be the lower unit. I did change my prop. I bought it from a marina. Neighbor told me they gave me the wrong prop. Could any one help

Re: 40hp Mariner

your rpms are right on but the milky lu oil is not. check the plg gaskets for any nicks or cracks that would let water in if there ok you will have to preform a pressure or vaccum check to see where leak is could be prop seal.
