On the back of my del quay dory, there are two stainless steel semicircle hooks, they are fixed to boat. One either side of the outboard. Just wondering what they are for and can you use them for towing people??
Probably a stupid question!

If they are the same hooks in this pic, then yes. I use mine for tubing and wake boarding. I use a rope that attaches to both sides and comes down to a point, where I then attach a my rope http://www.iboats.com/2007_Accurate_...view_id.351001
ok, thanks, ill make sure they are strong before i tow anything. Also, has anyone elese used these before??

I also use mine for towing tubers and skiers, I also use them to ratchet my boat down to the trailer when its out of the water. They are very strong, many people who have boathouses use them to lift the boat out of the water. Provided their through-bolted of course.
ok, thanks, just checking, i will make sure they are through bolted.

I've used them with a 3 carabeener set up it works great ,but you need quality carabeeners from a rockclimbing store.Put one beener at each end of a 6 or 7 foot rope whatever gives plenty of motor clearence.the third beener goes on the rope out to the skiier.the third carabeener will move port to starboard as the skier does Have Fun
