throttles controls

can anyone explain how to change the throttle controls at the helm for a 76 twin 260 mercs. are there any srings or other equip. that will jump out at me if i disconnect the old

there's a section on acc. where ya can find out about yer remote controls......

its the whole service manual for yer rig......over 1GB in size. pdf. so have some time to download it + the space on yer comper harddrive...

i have the manual, it tells me how to clean, lube, grease and new cables but not how to replace

yes there are some little things take can jump out, and go to the most inaccessible place in the boat.
