hello everyone new guy here. what i have a 1989 Pro Craft 1660v and i love it. my question is about the prop. it has a 1994 Johnson 120 v-4 on it and has a 20p ss prop. the prop is made by power trim. the boat get up out on the hole very fast and runs great but i'm wordering if i should go up on the prop or not to get alittle more on the top end. thanks

Re: noob with ?

Welcome!!

Assuming it's a Power Tech prop it may well be OK but we'd need to know some more details. To calculate prop slip (efficiency) we need to know the top accurate speed and rpm.

This will probably get moved to the prop section but that's OK, everybody will follow along.

Re: noob with ?

your right it is a power tech. i just bought the boat so i don't know a whole lot about it. i know that it get's on plane ALOT faster than my brothers boat. as far a rpm i don't know what the motor is turning b/c the tach doesn't work i'm going to fix it this weekend. the prop still has all the numbers on it if that would help. thanks
