Default Mariner 2 or 4 stroke??

Please help I am confused. I have a mid 80's model 4hp mariner outboard engine and I am not sure if it is a 2 or 4 stroke model?
On the cowl it says "MARINER" in large white text while just below in smaller red text "Four". At the back of the cowl it has the number "4". Please help!!!!
Thank you
Djsupersleuth.

The easiest way to check is to look for an engine oil fill and drain if it has them its a 4 stroke also the head will be larger. most small outboard are 2 stoke, 4's are just to complicated for such a small package.
