I think you'll be very satisfied with the Smart Tabs (at least I was on my previous boat).

I had the ordinary steel version, but the composite tabs also seem to have some advantages:

1) Less corrosion risk
2) Cheaper price
3) Easier to mount at the exactly right angle
4) Easier to set exactly the same adjustment on both sides (i.e. limited number of settings/holes vs. one continuous slot)
5) Tracking ribs on the underside add strength and maybe some tracking help.

And, it seems to me that there might be some other benefits too:

6) Better, more leak-proof actuators???
7) Sturdier actuator end fittings???

These last points I don't know, but surely John DeAgro or someone else here will be able to confirm this.

I think that I would have chosen the SX tabs if I were to buy again (however, my new boat came with hydraulic tabs already installed from the factory).

They're available here at iboats, but I don't know how they'd handle shipping to Italy.

For your application I beleive the new SX version would be the best for you! You will be very pleasantly surprised!

Thanks, thanks, thanks for your answers, I have a dealer for Italy at few miles from my house, but in this zone the people not love new accessories for boat...
and I didn't have a really personal opinion.

My only concern is the size of the flaps, because now they are much larger than these smart tabs and offshore wave have much stability.

The two last questions are:
- when you jump with a boat, at landing the nose of boat try to go into the wave or when the velocity is high the tabs go up immediately?
- if I change a engine, I must change a gas actuators?

For shipping, if I didn't find it in Italy... my cousin live in San Francisco

don't worry, the boat will not dive into the waves when landing. The tabs will adjust very quickly due to the boat speed.

There's a lot of leeway within each actuator range, to cover a wide range of boat & engine combinations. If you buy a bigger & heavier engine on the same boat, you can probably find a good setting using the existing tabs & actuators. In your case, going from 50 to 100 HP, I dont know for sure, but why don't you get an opinion from John at http://www.nauticusinc.com ?
