anyone have any good or bad experiance with 20 hp 4stroke Yamaha? Thanks for any input

Probably a decent outboard, but I would go with the Yamaha 25hp 2 stroke any day of the week over the 20hp 4 stroke. The weight is about the same (4S is a little heavier), and the price is about the same as well. But hands down the 25hp is going to be much faster and will run circles around the 20hp 4 stroke.

Hi.
I am using a 2004 15HP 4st on my 15ft Dura craft. Motor is very solid and reliable. Heavy as all get out compared to a similar size two stroke but it gets along pretty good. Makes the boat sit very low at the stearn and water slops in in reverse in choppy water. The pump takes care of that. Have raised the motor 1.5 inches and that helps. As I say the motor is heavy.

I have 2002 25 hp 4 stroke and love it..no problems. I even sunk it once and it sat on the bottom of the river for 2 days...still going like it never happened!

same i have a 03 25 4s and love it but i could do without the heavy mid range vibration
