Hi All!

I rebuilt a pressure tank that now works well and changed the coil and put on new points. The motor has not run for two years but was a solid runner before that. I've been trying starter fluid in the cylinders to get it going. It pops several times and dies. What else should I try?

PS: I did read the old thread covering a similar issue.

use premixed gas, never starter fluid. 2 cycles engines worst enemy. what is your compression. have you cleaned the carbs. sure the flywheel key staid in place. carb adjustments, in the faq forum

All of the above...plus

Did you put the timing cam in right side up? Did you torque the flywheel nut to 40-45 psi? Do you have the plug wires on the right way?

How much pre-mix should I squirt into each cylinder? Yes, I did replace both coils. I will check on the torque of the flywheel bolts. I have not rebuilt the carberator. Thanks, Gentlemen!
