Removed my flywheel and found this. It has a set of outer magnets that excite the stator and center magnets where the timing base determines the ignition timing. My problem is where an the center magnets are enclosed by a metal ring with two small vertical slots that excites the sensors to trigger the spark has come unglued. The magnet itself is still glued in place. Just the thin metal ring has come unglued.

How do I know what position to glue this back in? It does have a slot cut in the outer edge that looks like it might engage a detent, but there is no detent for it to slip into. Could it just be used as an alignment mark with a small white line that is painted below the inner magnet. When the metal ring is slipped over the inner magnet the small slot on the edge can be positioned line up with this white referance mark almost perfectly.

Since I have never seen one these before I am just not sure if this is right.

Thanks Richard
