I looked up a few things, There were two models made that year a 311VF Scorpion and a 313VF. The 311VF came with twin 225hp OB or twin 200's The 313VF only offerd Mounted OB brackets with dealer motor install don't know why this is. Both have the same dry weight of 3700lbs and 180 gal fuel tank. 85 to 86 was a change out period right before the company changed hands. The only problem that I know of which is a big one was the hull where the stringers were pushing outward.But this was with the 86 and newer.I have had a few 85 models , I enjoy the entire Scorpion class some don't but why not.Look up your vin hull number on nada this will tell you when your boat was built as far as a date. Like one I owned was a 85 but came out of production in april of 84. Post some pic if you get a chance.
