Hello. Been a while since I last visited this forum. But the boating bug has bit again, so I'm back. Strange thing: The site says I last logged on December 31st, 1969. I don't think it's been quite THAT long since I logged on! I wasn't really surfing forums much in 1969. I didn't have a computer in '69. Truth be told, I wasn't exactly born yet. But my parents were dating by that point. Weird. Anyhow, I'm strongly considering buying an old Regal Seabring cuddy. Haven't seen it yet, a friend of a friend told me about it. It's supposedly a mid to late 80's in great shape. 4.3 190hp motor. Price is right.

Any know issues or problems to look for on this particular boat?

Use will be general goofing off on the river. Maybe some tubing/skiing. Floating.

TIA.

Re: Regal Sebring

I owned a 21' 1990 regal, it was a pretty good boat. The floor was all fiberglass, so I did not have to worry about rot. mine was a cuddy to, they seem to be constructed well and did not have any issues with the boat. My only concern for you would be it may be a lil under powered. Mine had a 350 and was a pain to get up on plane and was not real good at slow speeds. Regal has been around for a while and make a solid product. take her for a test run and see how you like it.

Re: Regal Sebring

You are probably talking about the one on craigslist out in Pittsburgh. He's had it for sale/trade all summer. I was mildly interested earlier, but the pics he sent said the floors were probably shot (no fuel tank cover, just a few 2x6's nailed together) and he wanted too much.

He's come down about $1000 since then.

I really don't think I'd touch it. Since it has been for sale/trade so long I'm sure many have looked and said "No thanks"

I'm not sure if I still have the pics, but I'll look if you send a PM
