Need some advice any help would be greatly appreciated

Went out on the weekend - o/board started first pull with fresh fuel and some fuel stabiliser in the tank - running 50:1.

Ran great for approx 4 hrs and after trolling and stopping had some trouble starting it but it ran - stopping again and after anchoring for a while to do some fishing and trying to restart it - nothing.

Got a tow in and these are what i can say after some troubleshooting with the farther in law :

-have replaced the spark plugs,
-father in law said the plugs spark but only a bit - not a big spark
-checked fuel flows clearly to the carb,
-father on law blew the carb out with comp air
-compression on both cylinders is 120psi
-have filed the points a bit to clean them
-have tried to fire the engine with ether in the carb and in the cylinder
itself - nothing, doesn't even turn over a bit

Where else should i be looking to trouble shoot it - FIL thinks its ignition related due to the spark.

Any help would be greatly apprciated

could be bad coil dont ever use ether in a 2 stroke use a 50:1 mix in spray bottle spray into carb.
