Re: 92 200gt no fire

When you say no voltage from stator 150, Im assuming you are referring to testing the brown wire to the brown/yellow wire. Its resistance should be 900 to 1100 (35 amp) or a DVA reading of 150 V or more connected. WHen you mention the 12 V, were you testing the Orange to Orange/Black , it should be 12 to 24 V connected. Use a comparison reading as different brands of meters will give different readings. The typical range is 1M to 5M ohms. As long as you have approximately the same ohm reading on all tests and the correct output with the DVA meter, the Timer-Base should be good. The exception would be if one of the scr?s inside the Timer-Base is breaking down while the engine is running. This can be found indexing the flywheel and checking the timing on all cylinders. If the readings are off, reverse the meter leads and retest to see if the readings are corrected. Also check the cranking RPM. A cranking speed less than 250-RPM will not allow the system to fire properly.

Are you sure the kill lanyard is attached? Manually press the button in and try again.

thanks HIGH TRIM you are correct about the color code of the wire and the ohm range is correct the timer base ohm and voltage is good, but no stator voltage, and one volt at coils. what needs to be replaced?
