I have a 1968 Evinrude 6hp "Fisherman". How difficult is it to get parts? If I wanted to sell it how would I estimate its worth? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Parts that normally might be needed are available. Tune-up parts, carburetor kits, water pump impellers, gaskets are available right here at iboats. Check with a Johnson dealer for most other parts. Value depends on condition and meeting of a willing buyer and seller. And region and season.

Condition is everything. Look in your local newspaper, boat trader, craigslist, etc and see what others are asking. Then price your motor somewhere in the middle and you'll probably have what its worth assuming its in reasonable condition. Here in Southern Ontario they go for $50-450 CDN while $300-400 is most common.

Very true, somethings only worth what someone is willing to pay for it right. WB, Ive seen a few good deals in the SPEC lately, wife wont let me get any more motors in the basement though, lol.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out. I haven't turned up too many motors in my lastest ads.

Thanks for the responses. I may sell locally on craiglist.
