I have a 135 Mariner that overheats between 1200 & 3500 RPM. I'm assuming the impeller is wearing out. Is this easy to replace or do I have the separate the bottom leg? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Robbo in Australia.

Re: Impeller Replacement

I would ck the popit valve and thermostats then change the impeller. Yes you hane to drop the lower unit, there are 5 exposed 5/8 nuts and 1 hidden under the trim tab mark the trim tab with a scratch all so you know the right position when reinstalling
