1988 Grady White repower

I have a 1988 Grady with 2 4 cylinder Mercruisers.(170/180) I want to repower and am curious if anyone here has any suggestions as to what motors may work. I cant go down in HP as boat isnt too powerful as it is. Thanks

Welcome to iboats......:)
Well, you will need to go with 470's, :( or go to either a v6 or v8...
You may or may not have to do some stringer work to receive the new engine mounts.....
If you go to v8 you will need new drives......
You will need complete engines as nothing will bolt on from the old ones.......
You are looking at some serious cash outlay to repower......
How much do you really like the boat?........:confused:​

Ayuh,.......... What He said............

V6 or V8 is the only direction you can go.............

V6, you could still use your present Drives......
V8s will require a Regearing for the right Ratio...........

Either Way,......
You'll be replacing Everything forward of the Transom.............
