If you were stranded on an uncharted island and only had one song to listen to for the rest of your life with 40 years left to live, what song would you chose? Remember you only get one song!

Mine would have to be Time by Pink Floyd.

Re: Uncharted island

It probably would be something similar to Gustav Holst's symphony "The Planets". Its composed of 9 movements, each representing a different planet. I know most of you probably are like "what the #@!%?", but I'm sure everyone is familiar with the Mars movement. Its very powerful and fetured in a lot of action type movie and tv scenes. It also has a lot of elements the John Williams used as inspiration in creating the Star Wars soundtrack. Band nerd, yes.....but if I have to listen to something over and over, I want it to be very long, and have much variation to it!

"Jerry was a Race Car Driver" by Primus.

Well, maybe not. But no matter what you chose, after 8 mos or so I'd bet the speaker would somehow get bashed in by a large island rock.:)

bohemian rapsody by Queen. It's long with lots of variations and tempo's.

That, or something by Beethooven.

I know I'd need at least a CD full of songs to survive, but one that would be on the top of my list is Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet. I've always loved that song.

That's a tough question... agreed WW2 (hubby) may have too much time on his hands... I'll have to find something else for him to do around the house (hmm... I see a trip to the hardware store in his future). LOL
