Where can I get a new wiring harness for a 1978 Johnson 55hp outboard? Model 55EL78S.
I have been having problems intermittently where the starter will not work, and then the electric choke won't work, so I started looking at the wiring, and sure enough, the insulation is crumbling on some wires and the wire itself underneath is rusted. I'm betting that this is also the cause of my rough-running motor. I've only got limited time before I deploy for 7 months (6 weeks), and also striper season is here in another week and a half, so I don't have time to rebuild the harness myself.
