Default Speed control

I've been looking for an aftermarket speed control I can install or have installed on my 2007 Bulewater Mirage. I've looked into the Perfect Pass system and it looks pretty nice, but I can't find any other speed control systems. Anyone know of any other brands?

Not sure what a Mirage uses for an engine, but if it's a Mercruiser Smartcraft they make a speed control called Smarttow.

I've heard nothing but high praise for perfect pass. I've never installed it myself, but I understand the installation is not that difficult. One concern I would have with Mercruiser's SmartTow is that it is an RPM based control. I'm not sure that this would manage the varying changes of force a boarder or skier would exert against the boat as they cut back & forth. If anyone has experience with Smarttow, please add your comments.

PerfectPass is a speed-based system that makes many tiny corrections to the throttle based on the speed of the water passing over your hull. This system adjusts immediately to whatever force the skier is exerting on the boat. I'm not sure if an RPM based system would react as quickly.

Perfect pass or Zero off is the only way to go. If you are going to go with an RPM only version, use the perfect pass cruise which is about 40% less than Wakeboard Pro.

Just read an article that the smart tow is for newer boat models?

What motor features do you need for the Perfect pass or Zero off?

PP, best thing to add to your boat. Install is quite easy, I help a buddy and did my own boat. Aside from drilling a big ol hole in the bottom of your boat it is easy...measure twice and drill once. :-)
