I took my boat out today (motor is a 1982 Johnson 35hp 2 cyl.). Motor started great and ran fine for a while. Then it made a grinding sound and shut off. When I tried to restart it, it backfires every time I turn it over but won't even come close to starting (it never backfired before). I seem to be getting plenty of gas to the carb. Any ideas???
