Re: A Bad day at the ramp

was low tide, backed down to the slime section, put it in park, left the motor running, launched his boat, and we watched it slide "in park" down the ramp and float about 15 ft away with the motor running.floated for 6 1/2 minutes then did the submarine dive to the bottom. nothing was visable except the bubbles.

His insurance man, he not gonna be happy!

What a way to ruin a good day of boating! Poor bugger!

Did the boat go under too?

i ain't gonna laugh. before this last weekend i might have. but not now.
i put in on the missouri yesterday, the river was down a bit. launch went ok. but retrieving it was slick from other folks usein the ramp. long story short. i slid down that wet ramp. couple feet at a time. wheels locked up too. and man was i going slow tryin not to slide down.....only difference. i did come to stop. whew. i was startin to sweat it a little..........was real glad i didn't jacknife too........i think i just got plain ol lucky. and i'll ltake it.....that pics got to be a boaters worst nightmare......

This is why I always put it in 4wd and lock the e brake when getting out. You have to slide more than just the four back tires on my truck to get it to go. You have to get the heavy front ones on the dry part of the ramp to slide as well.

Damn it....now who moved the truck?

Honey, where are the bubbles coming from?

I wouldn't know whether to sh*t or go blind if i saw that in person!
