Stop Switch install 1978 20HP Mercury OB
I have a 1978 Model 200 20HP Mercury Outboard and it does not have a stop switch, it has been removed. For safety reasons I'd like to install a new switch. I have purchased an Attwood switch that can be installed “normally open” or “normally closed” contacts. Which connections on the switch should I connect “NO” or “NC” and where should I connect the leads to? Should one lead goes to ground and the other to……? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help.
