Looking for fuse sizes (1997 Bass Tracker)

Got my new use block, however, none of the old fuse are viable and you can't tell what they were. This is for the console switches, everything else is fine. I'm needing fuse sizes for:

Lights
Bilge
Live Well
Aux

I'm also not sure if the fuse coming from the battery is a 20amp or 30amp, any thoughts there?

Thanks a bunch.

It would help to know the gauges and run length of each of the circuits you mentioned. (Run length includes the positive and negative wires for each circuit, the total distance of the wire to and from)

You may also contacting Bass Tracker, if your lucky they can help you out with proper fuses.

Lights <- 10a or less
Bilge <- 15a (try cleaning bilge pump and see if it has a model #)
Live Well <- 15a (check for pump model#)
Aux <- 10a

Just general recommendations but these should be pretty typical.

The power cable from the battery to the fuse block is probably 10 gauge which requires a 30 amp fuse at the battery.

As a general rule:

IGN - 20 amps
HORN -5 amps
BLOWER -5 amps
BILGE -2 amps
COCKPIT -5 amps
FRESH H20 -10 amps
ANC/NAV -5 amps
ACC -10 amps
DOCKING LIGHTS -10 amps
STEREO -10 amps
12 VDC - 10 amps

In an era of "super sizing", circuit protection is not one of them unless you are discussing wire gauge, but oversizing wires does not give you much in return when you do the cost/benefit analysis. Using over sized fuses defeats the purpose of the fuse. It is important to use the correct size and carry extras on board. The fuse must fail way before the accessory and wiring fails. The common reaction is, if the fuse blows, up the amp rating of the replacement fuse. If the circuit performed before the failure, there is a fault in that circuit. That fault must be found or the risk of greater damage increases.
