Charging system help please

1985 Baja 220 sport with a chevy 350 with no charging system output. It has a junction block that says GUEST on it. The center wire goes to the alternator and has an output voltage of less than 2 volts with the engine at 2000 RPMS. Does anyone have a schematic or more information on this charging system? It is greatly appreciated! :D

Describe all the wires that come out of the "Guest" box. Is there a model number on it? It may be an on-board charger hooked up wrong or perhaps an isolator.

After doing some research it is the battery isolator and appears to be wired correctly. The alternator was toast. Anyone know where I can get a good manual for this boat?

You'll do okay to get a good Mercruiser service manual. Baja will not have anything in regards to the engine and outdrive.
