This motor has been running flawlessly until last week when I decided to convert it back to the tiller again.( It was a tiller I changed to remote) two years ago.
By accident I put the battery leads on backwards while talking to someone. And then turned on the water and pushed the electric start button, the starter Spun and Spun as I tried it several times,Before realizing I had the wires crossed. I corrected the battery wires ,But the Motor Now has no spark????? This motor had No Fuse and the wiring has been checked and is correct..I just went to mercury and tried replacing the Rectifier, It did not work...???? ANY Ideas what I burnt up and how to check the other stuff? Thanks N.J.Musky
