Out of water, using muffs, runs & operates great, stays in gear. In water jumps in & out of gear, loses power. Sounds like striking a sunken object. Any suggestions as to possible problem------------------

Yo, Robdro. Probably shift linkage adjustment. That is easy to fix. The racket is the dog clutch popping in and out. On the flushing unit there is no load on the prop and gearbox to nudge it out. You didn't say so, but I am assuming this only happens in FORWARD.Good luck.JB
