I bought a 6hp evinrude outboard motor. It was broken in 3 parts during shipping. I need to know where I can get parts or service to fix my motor. I live in the Raleigh, Nc area.
Re: 6hp evinrude outboard motor needs repair/parts
Just look on ebay. The tiller handle/carry handle bracket (you may need both) are not that hard to come by because such a wide range of years will fit. It's incredible how many years and even horsepower OMC have tiller handles that will fit your engine. I even have an extra I'd be willing to give 'ya but you probably need a carrying handle bracket so just one thing wouldn't help ya'. Also, shifter handles are common, too, since they often get broken and everyone knows someone needs one. Don't be discouraged, if you're willing to be just a little bit patient, you can fix that rascal reasonably. Trust me, I've had the same stuff happen getting mine shipped and had to do the same as you.
Good luck,
