125 aq coil with internal resistor or external?

hi have a 83 bayliner with 125 aq ,does this require a coil with internal or external resistor old coil was recently stolen,while boat was parked in storage. thank you in advance for your help. if this has external balllast i dont see it.

Resistor may be in wiring harness. If you have a coil, put it on & run engine for 1 minute, measure volts at + terminal of coil. If ~13 v, there's no resistor. It will overheat unless it has an internal one.
