From last week on the Peconic Bay. Very nice trip, and I did a good job of anchoring, if I may say so myself! :D

Great shots, it looks like a much bigger boat,,, Isn't it Beautiful out there? It looks like where God rises in the morning. I almost bought an older SeaRay from a marina out there yrs ago, it was a 24' Cuddy with twin 470 -170hp Mercruisers that would do 45mph for $5K, a bargain but I was afraid to go for the 470's once I learned about them. I bought a similar 24' SeaRay Cuddy with a 350/260 Mercruiser instead for $4K.

Thanks MikDee!

Here is a pic with the kids so you have a little better size reference.

Its a 85hp Force. So far with the motor trimmed all the way in it did 38. I have been running it trimmed out on the second pin hole (no power tilt/trim) and it runs faster with less throttle, but the water was too rough for WOT runs for very long. It cruises at 25mph in moderate chop comfortably, and anything over 35 gets rough unless the water is really smooth.

It seems to be using about 4 gallons/hour if I keep it around 25mph. I plan on keeping better track of fuel use because I want to replace the 9 and 6 gallon portables (who ever thought that a 9 gallon tank is a portable - ever try to lift a full one over your head and into a boat?) with a permanent tank.
