Earlier I was test running a 3.0 88 Mercurser after fixing a list of issues. After 10 minutes of running I was greeted by a gush of chocolate milk out the valve cover. Wonderful . I drained the oil/water mix, and plugged the outlet hose, and fitted an airchuck to the inlet hose, ran it up to 15-20 psi (water pump hose swelled up quite a bit). No internal hissing I could hear thru the oil fill

I cannot see how that much water got in the crankcase if the block is good. I know these manifolds have a tendency to leak- but that much water?

A Bad Manifold won't leak into the Oil when the motor is Running,......
Only at rest.....

Try your Test again with the Sparkplugs Out.........And Slowly rotate the motor......

That would be nice if this was the issue - a cracked cylinder can be sleeved for a 100 a hole.
