That would be normal for about 2 minutes after shutdown. If you pop the cap and it fills up after 5 minutes, the check valve needs replacing. (Starboard side near front, low) The valve puts crankcase pressure on the bulk oil tank in the boat, to keep the motor tank full. It should regulate the pressure to about 2 lbs, and let it off shortly after shutdown. If it doesn't let it off, oil will creep into the fuel line so you burn much oil when you start up.
It is pretty normal for that engine to smoke a bit on startup.
