Im rebuilding my Mercarb 3310-861448A1. When I removed the accelerator pump there was no check ball and strainer under it. just a spring. In my manual, I know not a real good one, does not show a check ball under it. But the instructions do. I know the instructions are for many other carbs. So was mine missing it or does it not have one? Thanks in advance. 1998 mercruiser

No check ball under the accelerator pump.
The check ball and spring are held in place with a T shaped keeper and is located under the venturi cluster.
