Used 7.5 Honda, how to tell the year?

I just bought a 7.5 Honda. The person I got it from only had it a couple months before selling it.
It had been dropped, and the tiller was gone.
I used a motorcycle throttle to get it running, but need to work on the carb.
I couldn't find any model/year tags anywhere.
Anyone know where I can look?

if you can't find the 7 digit serial number on the frame(plus any preceding letters)then look on the block at the lower front for a number...Honda gives their engines both a frame number and engine number...post it and maybe we can help :cool:
