I could use a tutorial on how to disconnect the shift linkage so that I can replace the water pump on a 1995 Evinrude 25hp. Shift handle on the front of the motor. Anywhere I can find a diagram?? Thanks, Ron

take off water inlet screens put in forward unscrew shift linkage need 2 1/2 in wrenches. when you get apart remove the 4 bolts amd 1 nut just above pull dowm slowly about 1 inch on top of shift linkage you took apart there is a plastic keeper on rod take it off then slide fitting off you can pull lower end off. make sure when you put new impella in fins are facing clockwise. If you pull shaft out of lower end dont panic just slide back in. take your time and pay attention its not hard.
