Bought It Two Years Ago With Rebuilt Motor Y Mercury Due To
Oiler Failing...is Now Manual Mix. Beautiful Adult Owned
Boat. Have Had It Tuned Up, Reverse Limiter Replaced, Carburetor
Rebuild. Now It Cavitates And Does Not Go Over 25 But Is
Turning More Rpm's Than Speed. Mechanic At Marina Took
Apart And Replaced Wear Ring But Said Impeller Is Within
1/100th Tolerance. Tried Today And Still Cavating After
$545 Repair. Said It Must Be Something Else Possibly
Exhaust???? Can Anyone Help Me Please? I Am 61 And Will
Sellm Once I Am Sure It Is 100% As We Only Used Twice This
Year, Even Though We Live On Lake Hartwell.

Be sure the ride plate is flat. This is the intake grate that is under the boat. These boats have a habit of backfiring and warping the plate and will cause the problem you describe. The front of the plate has to be even with the bottom of the boat and the rubber seal intact around it.
