Have a 1996 Maxum 1900 SR with a 4.3L Mercruiser Gen+. I am new to sterndrives and the last service guy closed up shop in my area. Looking to winterize and I live in Canada so it has to be done right.
I have read a lot on this board about flushing with antifreeze and plan on doing this - having trouble finding propylene glycol antifreeze though - most of our RV antifreeze seems to be ethyl alcohol based.
I can only see three blue thumbscrew drains (2 starboard 1 port). Are there more drains than this on this engine?
Is there a better way to drain the shower hoses? Can they be blown out with air from the discharge side?
Thanks for any suggestions.
