17' boat, came with a 100hp Evenrude outboard, which was siezed...

I've replaced that with a 90hp, and with my motor issues 'clear' (AFIK) it's time to start asking boat questions..

The boat in question is a 1969 17' closed-bow...

There is no 'floor' so to speak - the hull has been halfway covered with blue boat-carpet (don't know what else to call it, it's blue and almost astroturfish) by the prior owner, and it has 2 sets of back-to-back seats up front which are mounted on wooden boxes that appear to be epoxied or otherwise glued to the hull...

It looks like it was 100% carpeted before, as the non-carpeted area looks like it had something glued to it at one time....

1) Is this boat 'supposed' to have a (presumably wood) floor, or is the current carpet-on-hull configuration 'right'???

2) If it had a floor at one time will there be any damage done by leaving it floorliess?

3) Anyone got pictures of what this thing is 'supposed' to look like inside?

4) Where do I get more of this boat-carpet (if I go that way) or should I just give the thing a floor of some sort?
