Hummingbird Transducer

I have a Humminbird Transducer that leaked a black-toned slightly sticky material (similar to pine sap) from the opening of the wire lead when the temperature rose to approximately 100F and the boat was sitting outside covered. Anybody else experienced the same thing?

contact hummingbird. sounds like a seal problem. maybe the will warrant it.

Yup, happened to mine too. I resealed it with marine grade clear silicone sealer and it's been working fine.

I noticed the same thing coming out of mine and was wondering the same question. I don't think its throwing off my readings but it has me worried.
