Just bought this motor and sat it on my 14 foot aluminum.There is a bolt.nut and cotter pin for the locking mechanism as well as the original thicker locking bolt with a nut on each end. To lift the motor to the tilted position for shallow water and transporting I have to put the shifter in forward position to unlock it.In neutral and reverse it is locked in.Is this how its supposed to work or is something wrong?I thought neutral should be the unlocked position to lift motor and forward gear it should be locked in.This is while the motor was shut off?What gives?
