omc 4.3 vortec replacement exhaust compatability

i have a 1990 renken omc 4.3 liter cobra vortec engine and am looking for exhaust manifolds. the ones i am replacing are one piece and everything out there says not to be used with vortec engines. i was told by osco tech that mercruiser he thinks is the only one that makes them for the vortec. original part #'s 984222 & 984221, all the replacement kits specifically say "not recommended for use on vortec engine" has anyone come across this issue? does anyone know of a solution or modification to the new kits to get them to work with the vortec engine? i am a mechanic and am prepared to do what ever it takes to get this to work. any ideas???

I Think what you're finding has to do with the fact that they're the 1 piece manifolds,.....

4.3l Exhaust Ports are All the Same.........

I Think you'll find the Issue with the replacements are Downstream at the Manifold to Y-pipe connection........
