I just got new plugs when they serviced my engine so today I took out my boat for a test run. The good news is she fires right up, but I think she sounds different. I used to think I could hear her hit all three cylinder. She idled at 800 rpm and didn't hit above 5000 rpms at WOT. Is it possible she is not hitting on all three cylinders or would there be more noticeable performance issues if she were only running on two. Thanks.

I don't believe that you engine could reach 4000 on 2 cyls. but you may have a carb that needs cleaning or a intermitat ign. miss, if you have a induction tach available to you run the engine up and ck for spark on each cyl. seperately

Thanks, I kind of guessed it was running to well to only be running on two cylinders, but when you are a novice you never know.
