Slow tilt/trim

My 1987 70 3cyl. has a tough time tilting when it's been sitting for a few days. It's like the battery is dead - it moves very slow and somethings dies half way up. This is when it's not running while on the trailer. However, the motor turns over with the starter like it's got a great battery. The battery is new this season and I have a battery isolator installed. If I put it on the charger on boost, it goes up and down no problem. As soon as the boat is running the problem goes away for the rest of the day, running or not.

Thanks,

Re: Slow tilt/trim

Thanks Laddies,

That's good news. Are the brushes easily replaceable? Can I file them like a circular saw or other type of electric motor?

Thanks,
Grant
