Wiring help needed on 1993 Sea Rayder
I bought a non-running Sea Rayder, where the previous owner had taken the ignition system out. I'm trying to put it back on, but I'm having trouble with the wiring harness. The service manual shows everything in realtion to the switch box. That's fine, except mine don't have one!
I have the 3 coils, and coil wiring harness with a bunch of wires coming out. I have the regulator, with 4 wires coming out. I have the rev limiter, with 4 wires coming out.
Here is what I have:
from the (red) stator:
2 yellow wires with female connections
white wire with green stripe...bullet connection
green wire with white stripe...bullet connection
From the trigger (I think that's what it is, the bundle originates under the flywheel):
Violet wire...female connection
black wire with round connection, appears to be a ground wire
white wire...female connection
brown wire...female connection
From the wiring harness:
purple wire...female connection
grey wire...bullet connection
red wire...female connection
black wire with yellow stripe...bullet connection
2 yellow wires, each with a female and bullet connection
The top coil:
purple wire...bullet connection
white wire with green stripe....female connection
black wire with yellow stripe, combines with the same from the other coils....female connection
black ground wire
The middle coil:
white wire...bullet connection
green wire with white stripe, combines with bottom coil...female connection
The bottom coil:
brown wire....bullet connection
regulator:
red wire....bullet connection
yellow wire....bullet connection
light yellow wire....bullet connection
grey wire...female connection
rev limiter:
black wire to ground
black wire with yellow stripe....bullet connection
brown wire....bullet connection
purple wire....bullet connection
Naturally, I'm afraid I will fry something expensive, if I just start guessing on the connections! I could use some guidance. All help appreciated!
