Me and my husband have just purchased a 1990 16'5" Sea Nymph boat with a 1996 Evinrude 48 hp motor with a tilt and trim that fitted the original 1990 Evinrude 40 hp motor. The tilt works fine when you raise the motor, but when you lower the motor fluid is coming out from the top of cylinder around the o-ring where the shaft comes out of the top of the cylinder. Does anyone know if you can buy an o-ring kit or some type of kit to rebuild the tilt? Any help would be appreciated.
