I just noticed that my alternator does not seem to have an output, and parts schematics don't seem to list the alternator as a part. does anybody know anything about this.

there is no actual altenator. the stator produces AC current and feeds it to a voltage regulator rectifier.
there it is rectified and regulated from AC to DC and held at about 14.8V at WOT.
in the manual is how to test stator output and regulator output.
