Does anyone know a good resource that might help me tune up a Johnson 35hp Seahorse (1981)? It doesn't run properly at idle speeds, it keeps stalling.

probably a total carb cleaning, and rebuild kit. manuals outboardbooks.com

Carb kit from you JohnnyRude dealer is P/N BRP-439075. The aftermarket Sierra P/N is 18-7024. Carb is very simple. Getting to it is kind of a pain, but not difficult.
