1969 Evinrude 16 hp gas ratio

I recently purchased a 1969 Evunrude 16 hp motor from an older person that doesn't remember the gas mix. I would guess it is 50:1 but I don't know this for sure. Can any one help?

What F_R said. We don't think there was a 16hp in '69.

Got the model number? That can tell what it really is.

It must be an 18hp.

Wow, I am getting old..(at 57)...that flew right by me..yeah, its an 18, but if a decal gets scratched off on the 'eight"...it could look like a "6"...or a fat finger thing...
