I'm trying to hunt down a peoblem i'm having with my 86 200xp evinrude. It will start on muffs with no problem. It shutdowns and restarts fine, idles fine no real problems. On the dock when it's cold it fires right up just about the same as on muffs. After it warms up out on the water it idles rough, and cuts out at low rpms. This is my first year with the motor so I'm just getting used to all it's little tricks. I'm thinking that it might be the impeller is not pushing enough water and it's running to hot, or I need to clean the carbs? Any help would be great!
