I have a good running evinrude v-4 50 hp,59 model. Only trouble is the shaft is not deep enough for my tri haul. Any idea what year long shafts will fit and all the parts needed. I would assume it's more than just the extension part in the center.

You need a longer drive shaft, midsection extension, shift shaft extension, and two water tube extensions. I still have the driveshaft from when I converted to the short shaft, but no longer have the other stuff.

You will want to find a doner motor. The drive shaft simply pulls out of the gearcase, and the other stuff either slips off or has a bolt or two.

This is based upon the fact that your motor is a 15" model. They made a 20" model, but no 25" model
