i have an 84 yamaha outboard - 90hp. will not run right. stalls at anything less than 1000 or so rpm. did a compression test - top to bottom 135, 125, 85-90. Do i have a bad motor or is there something i can do? any help appreciated. the motor ran fine 2 seasons ago, was fogged and i just went through the hassle of removing the powerhead to do the stainless shift shaft conversion. any ideas please help. thanks, manny

you can try a de-carb and check agin
but i say you have a worn motor
